Spider Project version 10.02 release 05 - from 3.08.2010

The syntax of the command DOCFIELDSETPROP is changed.

ATTENTION! The project file format changed to 10.02. To open project saved by the new version in the old version use CSV export / import.

New menu item "Expand / Collapse materials" in the pop-up menus of activities, phases and assignments. Materials consumption is shown in the material rows in the new columns "Consumption" with corresponding postfixes.
FTP servers setup allows to use passive mode and to check connection to server.

The main WBS only can be exported to CSV-files.

The script window has changeable size.

The syntax of the command SETMAINOPTIONS is changed. The password protected projects can be open in scripts.
In the script window there is a pane where errors are shown.
SCNF-files can be used in the script command PROJTABLOADCONF.
New script command PROJTABAPPLYCONF - load a configuration from the project configuration table into Gantt diagram.

Materials, material sets, material centers and user defined fields can be used as parameters in EVA.

In the pop-up menu of a group of selected activities there is a new menu item "Link / Delete links between selected".
In demo version with the restriction "40 activities" in every project window title the number of already created activities is shown.

New way of creating links quickly. In the pop-up menu of a group of selected activities there is a new menu item "Link" with subitems "As a Chain", "Selected to One", "One to Selected".

Configurations:

A configuration can be set up for the new created projects. The configuration should be previously saved in a SCNF-file. The Gantt diagram placement is also stored in the configuration. To set it up the menu item "Option / Parameters" or the button "Parameters" in the main window should be used.

Configurations:

New drop-down list "Configurations" in Gantt diagram. Gantt diagram configuration can be saved in SCNF-file as well as in the project in new table "Configurations" by subitems of menu "Gantt / Configuration". So, user can quickly switch between different Gantt configurations and also load them in other projects.

The structure codes unicity is checked after a project is imported.

Export-Import:

The Gantt diagram can be exported into an XML-file to be viewed by the flash Gantt component "AnyGantt".

New scale option - quarter's number in the project.
Scale range is expanded to 10-minutes intervals.
Any text on the scale is centered on the VISIBLE part of a cell (so, does not disappear by scrolling).
New function "Whole project" in the scale's pop-up menu. It shows the whole project on the visible part of the Gantt diagram.

New Option: whether to use colors in the actual part.
The collapsed phases can be colored using the custom colors of subphases. The priority of subphases can be set up using the button "Priority". It can be direct, reversed or by parameter.

Interface:

The column name prefixes "Comparison" and "Difference" can be changed in Spider Project Parameters window by the button "Column Names".
New filters in the Activity Gantt diagram main menu "Activities without Predecessors Only" and "Activities without Successors Only".
New field "Drag" in Activity Gantt diagram. It shows how much the project duration will be reduced if the corresponding activity duration is set to zero.
The Standard Reference-books "Current WBS", "Current OBS", "Current PBS" can contain objects (activities, resources, projects). The option name is "Structure with objects" in the "Create Standard Reference-book" dialog window.

The new feature - Autosave. The autosave period is set in the main window menu "Options / Parameters". Autosave is performed into a temporary file with extention ".{TempFile_1234567_7654321}".
User fields can be used in the cost components formulae.
User can define the path to the log file.
Now it is possible to add columns into a document from other document even if column codes coincide. In the case the following option must be used: "If column codes coincide - generate unique code".

The setup of the number of digits after decimal point affects now the diagram scales.

Activity Network:

The project general information can be shown (Start, Finish, Duration, Expense, NPV, IRR).
The toolbar on the left side for switching project pages.
The critical chain of links is shown in bold red.
Possibility to colour activity bars in dependence on chosen parameter. The parameter and the signal can be chosen in the "Options" window.
There are menu and buttons for scheduling and expense calculation.

New button on the toolbar in preview "Don't print the last vertical column of pages".

Spider Project version 9.18.18 - (from 17.08.2007)

Any periodic calendars. In the calendar exception properties window it can be defined that the exception recurs every N periods of time (minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, quarters, years). In the calendar exceptions table the fields "Recurrence Period" and "Unit of Recurrence Period" contain this information. In such a way the anniversary holidays (and any holidays that recurs every period of time) can be defined. In the new created projects New Year and Christmas are assigned to the main calendar by default.

Every field has the following options (they can be set up in the field properties window):
- numerical: number of digits after decimal point,
- date-time: whether to show hours and minutes,
- text: left / right alignment.

The scheduled resource quantity of Resource Departments is calculated.

Spider Project version 9.18.17 - (from 7.08.2007)

Now the parameter name can be changed during creation of report.

The field "Name" has been added into the tables:
"report_par", "trendreport_par", "trenddifreport_par" and "evareport_par" of export/import data base.

Spider Project version 9.18.16 - (from 3.08.2007)

Two new functions can be used in formulae:
SubString (<string>, <from position>, <substring length>) - returns the part of the given string;
FindString (<where to search>, <what to search>, <from position>) - returns the number of position in the given string, where the substring being searched for begins. If the search failed, the function return zero. The function can be used as the condition by the function "if" because the function "if" treats zero as "false" and other values as "true".

Now filters can be sorted and searched for by code and name in the window "Filters". Also the contents of the selected filter is shown.

Spider Project version 9.18.14 - (from 30.07.2007)

Now the links of the types "Finish-Finish" and "Finish-Start" can have a volume lag. The volume of the succeeding activity is used.

Formulae: now the apostrophized date-time constants can be used by the comparison operators (<, <, =, !=, and so on) and by the functions Diff_Days and Diff_Hours.

The export/import from MS Project supports the resource production.

Activity links have new property "Driving". If activity start date depends on the link then this link is Driving with "Yes" in the property field. Otherwise property field has "No" value.

Resource assignment productivity will be calculated automatically if "Calculate Productivity" item is selected in the assignment Pop-up menu in the Assignments table, Activity or Resource Gantt Chart.

The "Free float" field has been added to the Activity properties. Activity execution can be postponed for free float period without affecting the planned dates of other activities execution.

New Priority field has been added to the Scheduling options dialog window. This priority defines priorities for resource selection during skill scheduling.

New option to print a logo in any corner of page. The logo can be added to any diagram, project table or document.

New possibility to print title and subtitle of the documents only on the first page.

Changes made in the page setup dialog window (changing printer, orientation, margins, page size, etc) can be immediately previewed in the print preview window, before printing.

In print preview window the number of selected pages is shown in the status bar.

In the main window menu the item Project is replaced with item File.

In the diagram pop-up menu item Update is replaced with item Recalculate.
New option: to recalculate diagrams automatically. If this option is not checked in the project properties window, diagrams will not be recalculated automatically after scheduling, cost calculation etc., and there will be the "Recalculation is needed" reminder in the diagram headings.

New option in the structure properties: to Add new objects automatically. If this option is not checked, objects created in another structure will not be included in this structure.

The 'Fields Available' dialog window has been changed. The 'Comparison' radiobutton and The 'Original' checkbox disappeared. Instead there are 3 new checkboxes 'From this project', 'From compared project' and 'Difference'. 'Difference' works for numerical and date-time fields

In the comparison setup You can select all the Gantt columns. If the 'Materials' checkbox is checked fields 'From compared project' and 'Difference' in the Materials table is filled in. The same with Cost Components and Material Sets tables
